Song Notes: Blackest Heart was one of the first songs written for the Elephant Graveyard album and was originally titled "When dealing with hearts."

It is also the first song that I reworked as I improved my producing skills. The rework ended up taking 4 years because I was not satisfied with the new direction.
 

I will be releasing a remastered version of this track at some point and will include it for free on all purchases of the song on Bandcamp.

Goofs: I only realized the opening lyric of "You are the Queen of Hearts, but not the red one" makes no sense recently. If you are the queen of hearts but not the red one, then you'd either have to be the queen of spades or clubs. You can't be both things.

I never finished making the album cover but got so bored I just uploaded it anyway. Notice the shadowy wings that the bone is wrapped around is more or less invisible and there's a weird orange halo behind one side for no reason.
